Lance Hodes began his carpentry career by working his way through graduate school where he earned a Masters of Fine Arts in Poetry from the University of Massachusetts. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Antioch College. As Lance began looking for an entry-level academic position with no success, he realized that working with wood rather than words was his true calling. Lance specialized in cabinet and furniture work but quickly expanded to include new homes, additions and renovations. Lance has always had strong, responsive design sensibilities and the ability to organize and collaborate with diverse groups of people on projects large and small. He uses those skills daily when running Haydenville Woodworking & Design.
